From 12 to 14.05.2021 Researchers from the Institute of Defense "Professor Tsvetan Lazarov" participated in a joint seminar organized by the University of Library Science and Information Technology (UniBIT) on the project "CyberTwin". It is one of the 12 projects of the National Science Program "European Science Networks" of the Ministry of Education and Science.

The coordinator of CyberTwin is UniBIT, and its partners are: the Institute of Defense; The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ”; The Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium) and the Foundation of the Polytechnic University of Milan (Italy).

During the seminar, the Institute of Defense shared its extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity. At the presentation of the European project ECHO by Col. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikolay Stoyanov - Deputy Director of the Institute and Prof. Dr. Yantsislav Yanakiev, a wide range of questions was brought to the attention of the audience, such as: the university - business; cybersecurity; cultural heritage; creative industries; the university-state / city connection, etc. In conclusion, issues related to the preparation of a summer academy and a master class on cybersecurity, scheduled to take place from 21 to 27.06 this year, were discussed.
