The doctoral program "Methods for control and testing of materials, products and equipment" provides the acquisition of the necessary knowledge, skills and professional competencies for the development and successful defence of a dissertation. The training is carried out in a regular and independent form of training with a duration of up to three years, and in part-time and by distance form of training with a duration of up to four years. Those who successfully defend their dissertations acquire the educational and scientific degree of "Doctor" in "Methods for control and testing of materials, products and equipment".

Objectives of the doctoral program:

• To train highly qualified specialists in the field of methods for control and testing of materials, products and equipment, and in particular for products and systems related to defence with experience in carrying out independent scientific, research and teaching activities.

• To expand and deepen the general and professional competence of doctoral students in the field of methods for control and testing of materials, products and equipment.

• To develop models and algorithms for synthesizing optimal solutions based on the results of tests and control applied in different phases of the life cycle of a product and systems related to defense.

• To deepen the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for carrying out independent scientific, research and teaching activities.

• To deepen the mastering of the scientific terminology and the methodological principles of research in the field of the methods for control and testing of materials, products and equipment.

• To deepen the acquisition of skills and competencies for analyzing priority theoretical and practical problems in the field of methods for control and testing of materials, products and equipment.

• To master the methodology for planning and organizing scientific research and for presenting the achieved results to the scientific national and international community.

Scope of the doctoral program

The program has a multi and interdisciplinary nature. It is characterized by in-depth knowledge of basic, engineering and applied sciences, allowing the assessment of the properties and behavior of materials, products, equipment, mechanics, materials science, technology, computer science, computer science and mathematics, etc. It has a specific practical focus on security and defense.

This program enables educational activities in the following research areas:

• study of reliable characteristics of products and equipment;

• reliability of control and testing methods;

• modeling and simulations of the life cycle of defense-related products and systems.
